Hiding out in the open

Where's the best place to hide during hunting season ? Out in the open by a road.

Just edited this in my motel room on my "old I don't care what happens to this laptop" so not sure how it looks. Taken at ISO 2000 to bring the shutter up since I was hand holding at 700mm so there is probably some noise I will deal with once home.

Great shot Mike. Probably the safest place around is right on the road during hunting season. Most states don't allow hunting within 50 yards of a road.

Pretty bird, I would love to see one someday! Lucky to get this one in the open.

Smart, staying in the car! Bet the pheasant had been dodging barrels all day, saw your lens, and got that great expression!

Great capture, Mike. I've seen many of those along the road, but never able to get this close.
