he just put a cap on all exec pays no more then 500k a year,

WOW that is major.

That's for the execs who went begging for billions in bail-outs. (external link) Not across the board. Check your facts. Any reason a CEO who's asked for $50B from the US Government should take $2Mill of it home with him?

I don't claim to be the smartest person...doe that mean he cut congres's paycheck as well. They don't need to make that much money.....I say take all the extar money that they make and put it toward the economy. Plus stop voting themselves a raie very year...but that's just me..oh yeah

MORNING EVERYONE!

Tommy, stop killing the thread...sheesh....LOL

Congressional salaries are well below $500K (external link). Speaker of the House gets $223K; everyone else gets less. The President's the highest paid federal official at $400K.

Yeah, but...look at the perks Congress gives themselves...best retirement in the business...subsidized restaurants in the office buildings...no SS taxes...cars...etc, etc, etc. Bottom they are well paid and well pampered and have an retirement plan the envy of any Auto Union ;)

Yes, I put the battery in and trying to install all the stuff, update the firmware, etc. Takes forever! I haven't had time to shoot much with it.

Jon, I need to figure out how to get the plug in for downloading the RAW files to my PSE6.0. I can't find it anywhere so I'm using the DPP software provided. Would be nice to get the LR one too.

I don't know if there's an actual plug-in for PSE6; you may need to use ACR to get a DNG or other file out of it. ACR should get along with LR 2 though.

I'm thinking I need to buy the LR2 upgrade for $89 at Amazon and then do the 2.3 upgrade on line for the 5DII RAW files. DPP does work just fine, though, so that's what I'm using now and converting to JPEG.

ACR and LR2 get along just fine as long as you keep the ACR updated. I use both. Mainly LR2 for export and proofs.....Suzy where's the photos...we're dieing here...LOL

I never upgraded when I got the 1D3; I still use Raw Shooter Premium for the 20D, D60 and 5D and DPP for the 1D3. LR never really seemed as responsive as RSP.

I got the Camera Raw update on the Adobe site after trying to download the images, the software told me what to do. Smart software. It works great. I shot an Arrow of Light ceremony tonight with the 5D and 5DII. I'll tell you all about it:

The viewfinder on the 5DII is insane! HUGE. Bigger than the 5D. The shutter is load, though. Unfamiliar. I don't like it as much. The LCD is beautiful, bright, too bright. I had to turn it down. The right side grip on the 5DII is a bit chunkier than the 5D, but I think it was lighter, but that could be because I had the 24-70 on the 5D and it was heavy. The colors are also beautiful. The lighting in the gym is terrible, but both cameras did well with it on AWB. The 50 1.4 on the 5DII was stunning. The 24-70 on the 5D was also wonderful. I will get those up when I get them sorted.
