Hanging out at my buddies cabin a few weeks ago, the high temp for the weekend was -3 (without the wind). One morning was -20.... that afternoon it was -10. We were hanging out outside... we had to drink our beers fast because in 10 minutes they'd start to slush up.... fun times...

bobster, I really like that shot, can I offer my opinion on the clothing? He's a nice looking man, well built, but the pants seem a bit too high in the waste....tell him to go to gap or J crew, geta cool pair of pants and shoot that again. (personal opinion and taste) sorry! LOL. no not sorry... I like to dress my men! aahhahahahahha

hey i don't make the decisions on what they wear, i just ask them to bring a couple of changes in clothing.. he's an 80's throw back as far as clothing and style go.. ;)

Bob,

thanks Jim, it was shot was under Bournemouth Pier (external link) yes its the English Channel in the background, we don't have any lakes big enough over here ;)

OT: had a productive meeting this morning with the marketing team at Canford School (external link) they want an Events Photographer, and I was reccomended for the position, i'm shooting at Christchurch Piory (external link) on the 12th of this month, they're holding a choir and orchestra thing there, i've arranged the loan of a 50D for the night :D (they want a very large print of the inside for the entrance to their new theatre), i'm going to try and get a stitch from left to right of the whole thing.. also thinking remote camera in an interesting location.

as the conversation went on, they let slip that they want a new website creating, so i can submit a proposal for that in May :D

Bob, congrats! I am shooting this Sat. for the orchestra. The director likes my work. I still can't get the 5D2 RAW files onto my Elements 6. Makes me crazy!

You know, I have never spent so much money before joining this forum. The people here make me covet everything new. But I did not get tempted by the 1DIII as I thought I would be. I handled quite a few of them over the last year just to see. But the 5DII is just too good. I am still overwhelmed by all the new stuff it has. I don't know if I can learn 1/10 of it. I'm still trying to get the RAW files out today. I can see them in the gallery, but they won't pull up to edit. And yes, I do use elements because I spend my money on cameras and lenses, not software.

I am still in awe of the 21 mp and it's killing my hard drives, but it'll be worth it. I have a few really important shoots this week, so I better get going. I just taught 45 elementary school kids and tutored a 6th grader in math. I'm exhausted. The boys want pizza, but I can't see myself eating it. I had pizza for lunch.

Yes, the above was very well done.

I haven't posted anything because my pictures were crap last night. I couldn't use flash and people moved around so fast, even the 5DII with 50 1.4 had blurry pictures. AHHHH! :(

And moderating here takes a bit. I'm also on the book staff and we're doing major voting right now. It's a lot of work. I'm doing about 3 hours of work on it today.
