I "lost" my two grandkids to Japan for two years...sent Elaine over to visit once.

Then I "lost" them plus a new one to Chicago...they went from being 3 hours away to 14 hours away.

We survived and now plan four visits a year to Chicago to visit them plus Thanksgiving/Christmas we get to share with the other grandparents.

We stay in daily touch via email, Facebook, phone, and video cam

Okay, we made a scene at the airport....I've never cried so much and now my eyes hurt!

I just hope Ami does not forget who I am! My daughter and I will be fine and we will adjust...but to loose the baby, wow. I'd still love for them to move here. She wants to, it's her husband that just refuses.

It's going to be a very emotional week....

We aren't going to do web cam for a few days....

She just texted me and is in cleveland, safe and Ami did excellent on the trip. He's going to be her new best friend!

My boys have kept me busy, we had a tire that needed replaced, and we went grocery shopping. I did not cry once. amazing! LOL

Tonight is 24, it better not be sad!
