I been shopping ... just bought the Tokina 11-16 2.8 for $417 USD. Just had to.

Very nice score! Can't wait to see some output! Looking for a super wide lens in my future.

Hey we moved again! I almost didn't find us.:)

What's up with the Hannah Montana bit?

Chet those shots are fantastic! Soooooo cute and the colors are perfect! I would not have even noticed any "blown" spots if you hadn't mentioned them. They look great!

Lloyd, PictureCrazy here, uses this lens on his FF body and adores it. Says it rocks at 14 2.8 and in the right situation even is great at 13mm 2.8 - fwiw.

Hi, Kathy! He's a cutie!

Hi Kristin! Thanks for looking! He was a little pain in the butt! lol His poor mom was so frustrated and embarrassed, she was just sure her child is the only one that acts up at photo shoots. I have had a lot of family shoots lately and seems they all have at least one small child that does NOT want to cooperate, including my own granddaughter! lol

Kathy, I would love to know what settings you use...I loved the shot where he is running.....what settings did you take that with? Do you use fill flash?

a friend of mine is going to be doing her clinicals in Jan and so I have volunteered my veins for her practice.

The Hanna badaid was from my niece who noticed that a piece of broken glass I was throwing away cut through the bag and caught my arm. So she knew exactly where those bandaids were at since they are for her.

She wanted to put it on me but gettin the wrapper off became too much of a chore for a 5 year old;)

heres one with no blood...but a blood red background:D

Most of the time I use Av, aperture priority and I set the exposure up 1/3 because I find that Av under exposes a lot of the time. I almost always use fill flash, 580EX set on high speed sync if I am in Av. Sometimes if I don't have enough light to get a fast enough shutter speed, I will shoot in Tv and set according to how much motion I need to stop. I seldom use manual anymore, to much trouble with fast action children! lol

The shot of the little boy running was shot with the 70-200.
Av at 2.8, exposure +3
ISO 100
1/1600 which is what the camera chose
and flash

two other things that help me.......RAW and Lightroom :D
