Only a few more years, Mo, and you can relax and do nothing at home, like Skip and Tom.

We are not far behind in this valley..... two summers ago w had temps of 117-121 degrees but most of the time we average 102-106. It seems we always have a run of temps 110+ for one to three weeks, tho and the swimming pools get so warm they are not even refreshing. I came home to my pepper tree alive with activity this morning....it was raining little red peppers everywhere. I got out and looked up to find ithe tree stuffed with birds.... ![]() Cedar Waxwings . . . cool! Remember when Jake had them as his avatar? Wish I could see them here. But if that's what it's like where you are, I'll schedule our visit for the winter months . . . :{)# Maureen Souza wrote in post #7752301 I am on a rant. Work is trying to guilt me into working overtime which I do not want to do. After a few attempts to poke at me about not being a 'team player' I lit into my boss. I sid "I have been inthis business for 25 years and have worked more overtime than all these young nurses together. I don't want the overtime, I don't need the money and I resent you trying to make me feel guilty. I show up every week for my shifts and do a good job here. I don't call in sick and often take the heaviest assignments. " Boy, I was MAD! Stick to your guns (and borrow one from Skip if necessary!)! Jon

They seem to live in flocks - that's how Jake saw them too. Jon

The two ladies next to me (they seat every seat whether you know the people or not and charge $13 even if you don't order anything) had a Carnegie Deli special Reuben and the corn beef is covered in Swiss and the thousand island sauce is overflowing the little sauce cup. No human being can finish a sandwich. Two or three could eat just one. It was delicious.
