Thanks. I'm still not off yet. Seven is a lot harder than one. :) When I travel, I'm rarely in my room. Breakfast from the snack shack was $31 for cereal, milk and 4 scones. Life here in HI gets a little expensive.

That's where I bought my first EOS camera. I dropped my camera getting it out of the overhead compartment on the plane, and bent the lens mounting. I didn't want to be in HI without a camera, so I bout an EOS 650 (film) body with a 50 f/1.8. I wish I still had them, although only for nostalgic reasons.

Suzie,

Great shot! I love Hawaii...it has been years since I visited there. Food prices seem outrageous, however!

I've been busy. I shot over 4,300 images from July 17-26 for Cheyenne Frontier Days. Getting ready to update the blog with more later this week. At the moment I am working hard on wedding images and getting them uploaded to my site.

Okay, Jim. You asked for it!

Breakfast of champions, well my breakfast. :) It's 2 eggs over easy on fried rice and fried spam, served at the Hukilau.

IMAGE: http://sbphoto1.smugmug.com/photos/604983054_6TX5S-L.jpg

My family minus the picture taker. This was seriously in the middle of nowhere, food was great! And cheap.

IMAGE: http://sbphoto1.smugmug.com/photos/604983158_pqhmm-L.jpg

Lunch at Giovanni's truck & fry, spicy scampi shrimp with hot sauce on rice.

People served can sign the truck where the shrimp is cooked and served.

Shaved ice at Matsumoto's, leechy nut, strawberry and mango, with vanilla ice cream under.

And finally, I asked for one and got one as I was watching the sunset tonight:

I actually saw 4 rainbows today. My son was right, they just appear and disappear all afternoon on Oahu.

I'd be happy for a pancake right now. I mixed up some batter this morning, used half to make a couple for Lois----they turned out perfect. I burned mine, and didn't feel like mixing up more batter. So here I sit, trying to decide what I should eat. Maybe I'll just have a glass of V-8.

Food is a difficult subject for me first thing in the morning. I usually don't get interested in it till I've been up for a couple hours. If I didn't take pills that are only supposed to be taken with food, I probably wouldn't eat anything till noon.

The shrimp look wonderful, Suzy. I'd have to think about the fried frice for breakfast, though. By lunchtime, it would look pretty good, I'm sure.

The rainbow shot is very nice.

Tom, nutritionists recommend eating within 30 minutes after getting up in the morning. This prevents your body from thinking it is in the starvation mode which slows your metabolism to conserve your energy.

Breakfast is a good thing....and mine is often dinner or lunch food :)

Men's health states within 2 hours of getting up. I can't eat for the first hour after I get up... I have absolutely no appetite... lol...

Lois wakes up hungry, and she's not bashful about it. I do the cooking, so I have to face food before I'm even awake.

Funny thing is, when we're traveling, I love breakfast. I guess there's something to be said about someone else doing the cooking.
