Thanks, guys.

I'm having a nice, quiet day. I'm in an Apple Store, evangelizing.

See ya' later.

You couldn't get Pekka to let you off that when you retired, then? :{)#

Hi. How was the birthday, Tom? I'm finally back on Oahu. We're going to lay low and attend church tomorrow. Then we'll vacation more. I'm just glad to have landed and back into the resort and getting my stuff in drawers.

No. You can't kill the spirit in a true zealot. So many Apple stores. So little time.

It sounds like you're having a great time, Suzie. My day was full, but we really didn't accomplish that much. Mostly we just did a lot of driving, but it was such a pretty day, we didn't mind. We had breakfast in San Diego, then worked our way home by a circuitous route that took us past several major shopping centers.

We hit Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego, Fashion Island in Newport Beach, South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga, and our own little mall here in the Desert. Four of the five mall have Apple Stores, so I was very busy.

Have a good trip, Tommy.

The only thing I bought (besides breakfast and lunch) was a coconut cream pie at Marie Callendar's. That is my birthday cake.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

I have a butterfly garden that reseeds itself every year. I do very little to grow or maintain it. In the morning the hummers come in and during the afternoon (when the light is best) the butterflies come...at least 6-12 at a time:)

Good Morning, All.

Slow Saturday...got caught up on my reading while Elaine was at work.

Off looking for photo ops this morning. My next event is Friday with a wedding and reception afterwards.

Hi, folks! We're finally at our resort after church and getting ready for dinner or naps. We can't decide. We are all so tired.

Love the butterflies, Mo. Hi, Jim & everyone out there. I'm not staying away, just so busy and I have pictures to process. Talk to you all later!

So here are some of the pictures we took on the Big Island:

IMAGE: http://sbphoto1.smugmug.com/photos/609223330_nxH6o-L.jpg

Helicopter ride and I caught this for a fraction of a second, above a rainbow as it was raining over the volcanic landscape.

IMAGE: http://sbphoto1.smugmug.com/photos/609224058_hskxM-L.jpg

View of the lava hitting the water. The steam is very hazardous. I didn't know that.

Volcano tube, anywhere there is steam, that's where the lava is coming out slowly. This whole area is restricted because people actually fall into the lava and die!

That's us as we left the helicopter, Dylan was amazing! What a great job to have! We had the doors off, and I sat behind the pilot and I kept wanting to hang on with my left hand, but there was no reason for it. The straps were pretty tight. Just my own desire to feel safer, I think. After the initial "wanting to hold on" as the wind was so wild up in the air, I let go and took a lot of great shots from my 5DII and 17-40L.

Suzie, we hiked out to that area when Kilauea blew up right in front of us. Here is the toxic cloud of sulpher and gases..(luckily the wind was blowing it away from us!) from the ground view.

No one was walking there on Friday. We didn't see a single hiker. And it is a site! I never knew just how much land is created with the volcanos. It's slow, but always building.

Suzie, I am so jealous! I want to go to Hawaii so badly! I really just want to go on some kind of cool trip, my little 2 day trip to Wyoming was my only vacation this year.

How is everyone? I just looked up books for my next semester, and it is $450, that is including the ones that I could find for cheaper online. Yuck! Don't they know students are extremely poor?!
