I am doing much better thank you.:D

I am still not back to work yet... in a couple of weeks hopefully... but only have to wear the neck brace when I'm awake. At least it's a relief not to have to sleep with it. I am trying to get some of the old stamina back and hopefully all the strength in my left arm. There's been a little bit of nerve damage, but I am practicing mind of matter - I'll lick this thing ;).

As a "small" concession to approaching maturity (Tom will understand this) I have "outsourced" my grass cutting, my leaf raking, my gutter cleaning, and my winter hedge trimming to a local landscaping firm. Cost me a "pretty penny" but my back is loving it...as is my knees...as is my legs...as is my arms...as is....:) Who needs another lens this Christmas anyway :(

Those CF deals are hot ... I ordered some of the 8GBs the other day. I mean, for 20 bucks for three cards how can you go wrong?

Things here are crazy busy. I have a wedding this weekend and finally get to meet the bride & groom on Friday :)

Jim - I hear you on "outsourcing"! We do that with all of our garden stuff, too. We just never seem to have enough hours in the day to deal with things like that.

Had to come share some cool news. a LONG time ago I hosted a girl from Spain in my home for a school year. She was actually hoping NOT to come to the US and wanted to go back home, but we got tagged for her, she was an awesome tennis player as was my daughter...

Long story short, she was rebellious and hated it in America and counted the days to go home. In fact, near the end she found another family to live with that let her leave a week early, it was crazy.

I've thought about her through the years and always wondered how she was, what ever happened to her.

My daughter found her on facebook....we've both asked to be friends, I am not sure if she will or not, but it will be interesting to see what happens.

Wow, how cool.

We always joke because she had this really cute totally wool sweater and threw it in with our clothes, we washed it and it came out the same size as a cabbage patch doll would wear. Because she was so angry no one wanted to tell her what happened to her sweater...I finally had too. She must have taken it well...I'm still alive.

That's pretty cool!

I was an exchange student to Australia while I was in high school and I would LOVE to reconnect with some of those who were here, too. I've found a couple of groups on FB that might conjure up some blasts from the past, but not so far!

I hear you Jim - I guess it's just a little bit hard to let go of some things.

The grass cutting is some of my walking exercise and the backyard is pretty with the critters, birds, and nearby woods. I don't care for leaf raking at all so I was happy to hire the guy yesterday for the final cleanup ;).

And the most important thing - my wife was extremely pleased when she arrived home from work to the view of an extremely neat and tidy yard.

Fall Cleanup - $100.00
Wife's Appreciation - Priceless

- Stu

FB is fun. All my immediate family and cousins are on it and we use it to keep each other updated on each others lives. I also post a lot of photos there as well.

When our girls were growing up we hosted a teenager for a year from Germany. She was a wonderful young lady and we all enjoyed the experience. The following year she asked to come back and she brought her younger sister so we had two exchange students in the house that year. I will always rememebr their fascination with hamburgers...they both loved Fudruckers Hamburger Restaurant:) When we picked up Martina and her sister at the airport on the second year we had to drive straight to Fudruckers for a burger :)
