what brand or style of flash meter do you recommend without spending a lot of mony but still be a good unit.

Luis, I'm really not up on the latest and greatest in meters. I've had a Minolta Flashmeter IV for over 15 years, and it still works wonderfully. I think it's been replaced with a later model or two, but it's not cheap.

You might start a thread or look through the archives for some ideas. I have heard good things about the Sekonic L308 BII http://ww3.onecall.com​/PID_18571.htm (external link) as a good basic unit, but I don't know what else is out there.

thank you all with your help ..you guys where rite about the preflash..now when i use it in manual mode i get the same results as the pc cord ..now iam looking for a flash meter..thanks again for the help..love this forum its a great learning tool
