Canon does make a dual charger but IIRC, it doesn't have a normal plug, it's meant to be used in a vehicle...

Hopefully, someone will prove me wrong and you'll have what you need...

I found this one on BH's site: http://www.bhphotovideo.com …BCB_Dual_Port_Li_Ion.html (external link)

A little pricy, but it'll get the job done. I have three batteries, so if there are any cheaper alternatives out there I'd love to see them.

Canon makes the CA-PS400, which shipped with the D60 and maybe the D30. It does 2. Delkin makes a dual battery charger as well (external link). It accepts combinations of batteries, not just BP-511s. But the cheapest approach is going to be to add a couple of Sterlingtek chargers to your Canon one that came with the camera.

You may wish to have a look at the Hahnel Twin V Professional Charger for Canon Pro DSLR's. It sells fro $69.95 at Adorama; here's a link:

From another thread I found on this topic, it seems the easiest (cheapest and most portable) choice would be to just buy an extra Sterlingtek single charger. They're about $15 and very small. I took a trip down to B&H recently and the double chargers are all huge. Now I'm kicking myself because I just ordered my Sterlingtek batteries yesterday, and now I'll have to pay shipping on the charger since I didn't decide to buy the it until after the battery order was put in :(.

If you are planning to buy another camera it will come with another charger, but you're stating that you want to avoid the power strip. So far that adorama one for $70 ish looks interesting. I'm waiting to see what else comes of this myself as I could do without my power strip and be happier. I have 4 cameras that all use the BP-511 derivatives so I'm not short of chargers, but a power strip or using multiple outlets in different areas is a must. It's nice in one sense though... I keep 2 chargers at my house, one in my car connected to a power inverter, and another at work in case I need something there. I have enough batteries that I never carry a charger with me.
