I went abstract...

There is a nice opportunity for somebody to cut the dark grey bit out and transform an image to fit the perspective, then move on to that picture :) It would be useful if people starting a new one provided their source images as well.

Yes, no... I don't know, but it's too much of a sin to let go of those beautiful colors...

^ That is definitely a problem!

Too bad it is almost time for me to go home or I would do another one. Oh well, I'll play again tomorrow.

I agree, don't almost completely delete people's previous work (no matter how good your work is). We had a talk about this a few pages back. Keep the old picture in the frame somewhere (in its - at least mainly - complete form). :)

Ninja skills.

  1. Duplicate the layer you want to make a shadow of.
  2. colour overlay (black)
  3. Duplicate that layer and merge the two together.
  4. Reduce Opacity and Gaussian blur
  5. Liquify/reshape/erase as needed

Does that make sense?

I was just trying to move it on. it's no more deleted than it is resized to a 22.0 px camera screen or as a reflection etc. :p

Another thing with shadows is that they blur more as the further they are from the caster, they are usually very sharp at the source. The main thing is to learn perspective though, a good way to do this is to learn traditional drawing...But hey, this is a photography board :D
This may be useful:

An easy way to get a shadow to blur gradually in photoshop is to hit Q for quickmask, draw a black to white gradient, hit Q again to get out of quickmask then apply your Gaussian blur. Or just use the blur tool :P

I justed googled "Photoshop shadow" and this looks like a pretty good tutorial: http://www.photoshopcafe.com …st_shadow/cast_shadow.htm (external link)

You get my point though?! ;) Nice to have the whole thing in there some how. :)

On a side note. I sometimes feel the photos move on a little too fast. Like, they're just starting to get funny/clever then someone just sticks it on a TV screen or something. Sort of cheating IMHO. :p

Of course, if it's completely crowded, that's different.

The above one needs a battle between the space forces of Canon and Nikon IMO.
