Hey guys I found some dust specs in my view finder and wondered how to get it out!! Now I know the focus screen does not affect the IQ at all, it just bugs the heck out me!!! I want my baby as it was when I got it!! I have tried blowers and soft cottons to take it out, but the dust was in inside... So I wondered how to take the focus screen out to get it cleaned... I know the 40D, 5D and 1D's have this option to easily change the screens, but wondered if the rebel series are able to... So I did some Google searches and actually found instructions on how to change it out!!! You can find the instructions HERE! (external link) This site also has other models as well! I hope this info. helps out!

I know there are some people out there who probably been told to just send there camera to Canon and spend a crap load of money, for a problem that could have been easily fixed!!

I know it's many years down the line, but your link still worked wonders for me, helping me get the dust off my XSi / 450D focusing screen, despite shaky hands from two double espressos I drank this morning. Thank you very much.
