40D video capture.
I'm so very bored.

Poor video quality due to having used default settings in the capture program.

I guess they don't allow video embedding

I actually tried this once during an exceptionally boring Saturday. Except I connected the 40D to the TV and recorded from there to the computer. I think your way is better haha

There's some guy on youtube who claims to have hacked the 40D to allow it to have a video mode and record to the CF card like the 5DmkII and the Nikon. Not that the feature would be of much use to me (That's why I have a HD Handicam), but it seemed interesting anyways.

that's what inspired me to do this...I just didn't want to hack my software, so i thought of an alternative.

Yeah, but your HD Handicam doesn't have a 24-70 2.8 mounted on it.

CamStudio (external link) is a great open-source screen capture software. Give it a shot if you try this again, you'll get nicer results (although I understand you used the defaults on SnagIt).
