Hi there,

I do know that there are endless of "Which monitor to buy" threads, but am so confused and now need a final answer.
I would love to buy a Eizo CG241W, but the money are too short, so the same goes for LaCie724.
Therefore, I've narrowed the choice down to Apple 23" and the LaCie 324. Would are your opinions?! Which has the more accurate color display etc.? Or are there any other highly recommended products?

Furthermore, which calibrator is the best for the choice of monitor?! Am mainly looking at the i1Display2, but any other that are "better"?!

Thank you all in advance to get the decision final!!

Best regards

Kristian Kruse

Apple 23' is gone from the store now! What would you recommend?? Eizo and LaCie 724 are too expensive. Would you then recommend the LaCie 324, or somthing from NEC?

Please help me...

Try the HP LP2475W - it seems to be a fabulous monitor for graphics use, and not too expensive. I'm tempted by one myself due to the (calibrated) colour accuracy, wide gamut, and excellent contrast at low luminosity settings. If you are making prints, it's helpful to set the brightness as low as 80-100 cd/m2, and this monitor still maintains a good contrast ratio at these levels.

Reviews here (external link) and here (external link).

Is the HP on the same level as the LaCie 324? I read some really good reviews of the 324, but still find it a bit expensive. Of course I'll calibrate the monitor, but am still so much in doubt. Would ACD 23 still be the best option? You can still buy it from other retailers I saw.
