Great photos of some magnificent scenery. The water must have been perfectly still for reflections like those.

We were lucky, all week long it was choppy winds, and this one day, nothing at all....it was great.

very nice series

Thanks

Did you use a CPL on these? These reflections seem very well controlled. Great series!

I believe I did have a CPL then, it does make a nice difference - BUT - at that time I didn't know how to use it properly (i.e. constantly adjusting it), so there is scope to improve all the shots.

Wow Harm that one is really nice, good job!

Thanks Chet, I appreciate your comment :)

#5 would have been perfect if you moved the camera down a little.

Yes, it would have, unfortunately we were on a small pontoon boat, and I was already standing...

my faves are the last 2 shots...the light and contrast in #7 is wonderful and #8 is very well composed. Do you work with photoshop at all because #4 has potential if you draw out the green from the trees a little more and bump up the intensity of contrast in the reflected image (unfortunately don't see much that can be done with the sky on that one, though). I live in Southern Maine and frequent my old stomping grounds around Old Orchard. Millinocket area is gorgeous though.

I don't have photoshop or any PP software (apart from that RAW file converter you get with the camera - i.e. playing with contrast/brightness/colour saturation etc. So i have no idea what i'd have to do to fix the issues with any professional software. But thank you for your comments.
