Hawk ID Please

I saw this hawk on the way into work this morning. As usual, he chose the uninspiring street light to pose on. I have seen Kestrals, Meadowlarks and I do not know what else and they all pose on this street light.

Any way, can someone help me with the ID? Taken with my 20D (40D is in the shop) and 300mm F4L IS. Unfortunately, I did not have the IS set for panning on the "in flight" shot. Any comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Agree it's a RSH. First is best, IMO.
