Well, here's a post which will start with all the best wishes to all POTN members to remain gainfully employed as the world slides into a recession.

Without getting political, did you put any plans for adding gear on hold?

I have.

Nope. If I can afford it and still have a job, I will buy it. the lenses are like gold and keep their value. So worse comes to worse, Just sell. Seems like there is always someone out there who is employed and looking for new equipment.

I am saving for the 5DII right now, but am sure I won't be able to afford without help. So, I think most people here will still need more gear (great stuff) but will be more careful. I know I am just lucky I have everything I ever wanted and some things I never knew I wanted. :) Anything I buy from now on is just extra. :)

It is my patriotic duty to buy the 5D Mark II to help raise the percent of consumer spending :p

I'm going to find the appropriate size cardboard tube.

Paint it white.

Put a red ring around the end.

Slip it over my 300 and pretend that I choose to shoot @ f4.0.

Sort of like the neighbor kid pretends that his Honda with the big muffler has horsepower--LOL. ;)

Seriously--things have to get much better before I upgrade.

Now, that's creative thinking. :)

I almost have everything I need already. There are only a few items left on my wishlist.

If I can continue to expand my business during the downturn then I can expect it to take off like a rocket on the other side. :)
