So here we have a Kodak Water & Sport disposable. It runs on finger power using ISO800 film.

I just finished off this roll so I don't really know how the pics have turned out yet.

The blue part is a clear plastic piece like the back part but has a rubber piece glued to it. This piece provides the seal for when the two parts are snapped together. The thumbwheel is sealed with a lubed o-ring.

"Was the case still watertight afterward?" YES IT WAS

Someone who understands the intricate details can take the various pics and label them. :)

I have more detailed pics but apparently the clickable-link-jpeg html either doesn't work or I did it wrong despite my research google results and we all know about the pic limit (in a camera forum ............... go figure). Two are shown and the rest are linked.

You can add up to 8 images in a thread...but only 2 as attachments. If the subject merits and there are requests for additional images, the 8 image limit is waived. Not sure what the issue is.

I don't understand what point you are making with these? Underwater disposables are simply basic cameras in a plastic "housing". They are no different to disposable land cameras, really.

Some "housings" have an o-ring seal so the user can open and close the unit after replacing the film and/or batteries. They are still "disposable", though at least you can hope to run more than one roll through!
