stitching together a panorama...

can you stitch together a panorama in cs4? how do you do it?

Don't know if the menu changed in CS4 but in CS3 it is FILE > AUTOMATE > PHOTOMERGE.

Hi everyone...been googling & searching but maybe i dont really know how to put the question fwd.

I can stitch 2,3 or what ever photos well in CS5 however what if i wish to take 4 photos in a square pattern ?

Would you stitch 1 & 2 side by side followed by 3 & 4 side by side ...& then stitch the top pano to the bottom pano ? Does that work ?

Im away from my gear today but and heading o/s tomorrow & thought i may try it for a sort of 'square' pano.

As long as there is enough overlap it should work all at once.

It doesn't matter what "order" the image pattern...I took 14 images, handheld, some in landscape orientation and others in portrait orientation. I've done it in CS4 and do it now in CS5.

I'm a believer in converting that high quality long lens into a superior WA lens simply by using Photomerge. It has the advantage of making enormous size images without the need for high MP camera bodies.

You can take 3 or 4 up and down and across (4x4 or as many as you like) and the software has no problem stitching them. Just make sure there is some overlap...
