Memorial tattoo

It has been a while since I have posted here. I spend so much time doing portraits and loved the way this set turned out. I wish the circumstances had been different. These are pics of my son getting a memorial tattoo for his buddy who recently was killed in a traffic accident at 21.

Love the colour and vignetting.
Your son will appreciate you being so cool about him getting the ink. I went through the same process after my mates got killed in Bali in '02 and I wish I had someone to capture it, especially as beautifully as you did.

Very nice series! I need to get in and take some photos of my tattoo artist at work.

I agree with all the above comments.

Seems like most young ones just get junk ink done, but this really does have serious meaning. Agree, wish it was for better circumstances. Captured the moment beautifully!

They look great and so does the Tatoo - and i have to agree it was very cool of you as a dad to be so supportive of your son.

lol his dad was not so on board with the tattoo. The artist thought it was cool that his mom came with him. He is 17 almost 18 and here you only have to be 18. I figured he would probably find a way to do it anyhow so why not be there and get someone reputable to do it. So far this was the most meaningful set of pictures I have ever taken. i wish it had been under better circumstances.
