I know there are many of us who do not have access to an actual store to check out and compare the bags in person. Sometimes we buy backpacks online....only to realize they are smaller/bigger than what you thought it would be. I was in the same boat when I was deciding between the Computrekker vs the Computrekker PLUS. I first bought the Computrekker....and then recently upgraded to the bigger Computrekker PLUS (just wanted to have extra room for future accessories :p )

So this thread is for anyone else who couldn't decide on which Computrekker version to get......hope the pics will give you a better idea of the size difference between the 2 backpacks.

Here's a comparison between the regular Computrekker and the Computrekker PLUS version: (the bigger backpack is obviously the PLUS version ;) )

Thanks for the comparison, gives an excellent idea of what it holds versus the smaller version! Wish there was one of these for the flipside!

I think they're for any of the Lowepro lens cases, etc that are designed to be velcro'd onto belts and stuff...it's basically an attachment point for those cases, I think.

EDIT: see the flaps on the back of it? I think it's meant to attach these guys...

yup...those things on the side are for their slip lock pouches. it's always good to have the option to "expand" your bag. i wouldn't mind using one as a water bottle holder

Yes, I happen to have the Lowepro Computrekker plus AW as well and I use one of the lens holder attachments on the side. I use it to hold my water bottles since the Computertrekker doesn't have a holder for them.

got a pic of that? do you just tether it off a carabiner or is there a special Lowepro waterbottle holder?

I'm using Lowerpro Computrekker, I can fit in all my lens (16-35, 24-70, 70-200 and 100macro) and a garyfong lightsphere. But I can't fit in 3 580EXII flashes! Should have gone for Plus maybe.

Hi, has anyone here have any experience also with the Vertex 200/300AW? It appears to also be a formidable backpack with laptop carrying ability. It seems like the laptop compartment is towards the 'back' on the Computrekkers whilst it's at the front with the Vertex bags. Also MeNis, how comfortable are those two bags you have there? We all know some backpacks are more comfortable and ergonomic than others. :D

AHHHHHH... where were you two weeks ago when I was looking for this comparison? Oh well...I ended up getting the Kata R-103 instead.

Thanks for the pics!

Collin85: I have the Computrekker AW and I like where the laptop slot is...totally inconspicuous and, if you're not using it, it's well out of the way and simply provides extra padding for your back :)

I do a lot of hiking and a ton of travelling and find the backpack to be very comfortable (even though it usually has all my gear minus one body in it)

they are both comfortable. but keep in mind that if the bag is fully loaded with camera gear and a laptop, then it can be quite heavy.

the PLUS version is more comfortable since it has a larger back space area, so the weight is spread out more evenly.
