Is it tilted a little to right?

Terrific color on the horizon.
:)

You're seeing converging verticals caused by tilting your camera upwards. In order to maintain a level horizon, and a vertical lighthouse, you'll have to perform some lens distortion correction to the image. Without correction, something will always lean.

You don't have "Image edit" on.

I'd like to give leucedeuce's suggestion a try.

I changed the setting. I tried leucedeuce's suggestion but had no luck. Hopefully you'll have more luck! =)

Hi mel,

Do you happen to remember what focal length you were shooting at? which lens you were using? which body did you use?

Here's just a quick tweak. Nothing outside of distortion correction, and a light touch of sharpening to correct some softness brought in by correcting the distortion.

Hi LeuceDeuce, nice PP. Did you Lens Distortion filter? What steps did you take?

Here are my camera settings:
Exposure: 15 sec (15) Aperture: f/11 Focal Length: 46 mm ISO Speed: 100 Exposure Bias: 0 EV
I have an xsi and using the kit lens (18-55 mm).

I do save as instead of save for web to try to preserve the exif data. I guess that doesn't work? Do you know how I can do that? Thanks!

I'm so sorry I forgot to reply to this :(

I'll let you in on a secret, but don't tell anyone ;) Whenever you do distortion correction part of your image gets cut. To clarify what I just said: If you correct converging verticals from pointing your camera up, the correction process chops off the top of the image, and you may lose the top of whatever you're trying to straighten. In order to avoid this from happening I always extend my canvas by a couple of inches in all directions. This gives you a bunch of extra material that will be lost instead of your actual image.

I don't remember the exact values I used in the Lens Distortion filter, so I did it again :) The numbers I came up with this time are: Vertical Perspective: -6, Horizontal Perspective: +6, Angle: 0.81.

I then applied USM sharpening with the following settings: Amount: 60, Radius: 0.5, Threshold: 2; just to sharpen up a little bit of the softness I added with the distortion correction in the web sized image.

Sharpening is always a personal thing, and I tend to sharpen my images a little too much so use your own judgement with that. Output sharpening for print is always a little heavier than you would sharpen for web viewing.

Could you have moved to the left a bit and hid that power pole and transformer or whatever that is behind the lighthouse?
