This is just an FYI post since there's a lot of "what bag do you use" questions floating around. This isn't the be-all-end-all of equipment recommendations and it certainly isn't fancy, but it's how I'm doing things at this point in time. I'm finally a full time photographer and was packing up for a job tomorrow, so I thought I'd grab a few shots.

I use a soft sided rolling golf travel bag and a regular rolling suitcase.

The golf bag currently has 4 soft boxes, tripod, C-stand, boom arm and a sand bag in the external pocket.

The suitcase holds a power cord, splitter, grids, another sand bag, camera bag and light bag. The light bag is holding 2x b800's and a x1600 with power cords.

The light bag was a free gift thing when I bought my wife a Cutter & Buck windshirt or something (watch for those free give-aways!). It's all pretty heavy, but it mostly condenses down to these two bags. Not shown are a Vagabond II, two additional light stands, 5-1 reflector, laptop and a small bag with speed lights & umbrellas.

I can see a point in the not too distant future where I'll need more options, but right now, this is how I'm getting it done.

I flew to Chicago this summer to do a friend's daughter's wedding. I borrowed a hard case for golf clubs to pack all my gear and it worked Great!

I use Canon gear...have several bodies and lenses and am quite pleased with them.

Woah...and you use this all for 'on location' shooting? or mostly indoors? That's a lot of stuff to set up. Here, I thought I had issues with 3 speedlights, 3 stands, couple of softboxes, as well as my tripod, plus the backpack with gear.

Guess we're not alone. :(

Good idea on that golf bag; I've got two of them laying around and never thought to use 'em.
