Comments are little slow sometimes, I find about 1 in 20, or less views per comment.
Nice family photos. Compositionally they could be improve by moving your subject/s out of center frame. In some this would include using that wasted space above their heads and showing more of the wagon (#1), or the tractor (#3). This could be an important element of telling the story.

In the last shot, again subject are set in the center, and you have a problem with the flash fall-off that has lit the foreground.

Here's an example from your shot, hope you find this helpful.

Thanks for the nice comments. I seem to forget about the center thing. we were in such a hurry beings it was so late in the eve. I will have to do some cropping.

In no way do I know anything about photography, but the second one jumped out at me because it took me a few mintues to figure out that it's dad's left leg behind the kid. Maybe have him lower it a bit so you can see the sky through the other side? Idk, it just looked weird to me, like there was another little kid behind him covered in a denim jacket or something.

My quick go at some Levels, curves and cropping of a picture.

Sorry I have a real simple program here not working with photoshop or lightroom is hard to say the least.

I wonder if this helps the thought process at all....

by the way did you notice the cat in this picture? before I cropped it.

I like the edit. Nice. I did notice the cat, her name is Sheeba, I just figured I could crop her out. They have two dogs two.
