Which Verison?

I dont know which version of the photograph I like better.. Black and white or color?What do you guys think?

I like the b&w version. There isn't enough color in the first to make it any more interesting.

The black and white is quite bland as well, though. There's no true black. Give it more contrast by playing with curves a bit. It's not an interesting subject to begin with.

Unusually for me i prefer the colour version, I quite like the subject.

can you explain why you think that it is not an interesting subject? I see things on here all the time like this and its always praised.... yeah i know my pp sucks but I want to understand what is considered an interesting subject... just wondering...

A rather broad statement but, for those of us with little skills, it's often a lot easier to do a good B&W images if your subjects are inorganic.
Try a brick wall as opposed to a tree in fall bloom.

im still confused at what you mean chaucey.. sorry lol.... can you explain it alittle better please?

You can make great shots out of "boring" subjects, but typically you need a lot of artistic skill; something that I don't have. The subject here is not really inspiring, or thought provoking.

By the way, the most recent one you posted is a bit better.
