Hatchers Pass. CC and PP suggestions?

Went to Hatchers Pass again this weekend here are a couple of shots. what do you think? i cropped them a little bit. any tips?

They look a little out of focus. Seems the focus is on the rock in the first one, the background mountain in the second, then the snow in the front in the third. You might have better luck pre focusing on where you know the skier will be.

2 could be really cool, good moment. I would maybe open up the composition a bit. Also in that situation you should probably be manually exposing. The entire image is dark, the snow should pretty much be white with some detail like in the first one.

Looks like a sweet place!

thanks for the comment tomcat i appreciate it. is that the best way to shoot it? pre focus? i was just following the skier. this is my second time shooting skiing. so just pick a point and wait till the skier comes by?

Yup just like that! Metering in the snow can definitely be tough, but you will figure it out with some practice.
