Has anyone modified a 10-22mm to work on a D60?

My guess is that it'll be OK but I want to make sure before I start cutting.

Or if it works and you don't damage it... it increases it a little, since it would give the few people still using the D30, D60, and 10D the option of getting an UWA lens for their camera. But it would hurt the value of it trying to be sold to someone with a 20D,30D,40D,50D,Digital Rebel, XT, XTi, XSi, XS and any other future camera that has the EF-S mount.

cutting ? what ? its not like 18-55 where you can cut. The way to modify it is more simple and you can return it back to original.

see this

I said go ahead, if you dunt like it then just convert back (experiment cost is only $11 anyway)

Oh nice, thanks for the link. I've only ever seen people do the cut and epoxy method. This is much nicer.

Hmm, I wonder which EF baffle fits the 10-22 perfectly...

Actually it is probably easy - put your finger into the rear plastic housing and pull out. It is just pressed on and can be easily replaced. Now it is just like an EF mount.

I read somewhere the 75-300mm's baffle works fine. But double check that

Tokina 12-24mm f/4 is a great lens...

Tokina 12-24mm f/4 is a great lens and although it is designed for a 1.6x camera, IT IS NOT an EFS lens.

I also have a D60 that is set up for full-time IR and the 12-24mm Tokina works just great on it.

BTW the 12-24mm Tokina is a pretty nice bargain at only $500 including a Tokina lens hood...

I just did some testing and the 10-22mm works just fine on the D60. While I had the baffle out I also did some measuring for full-frame, on my Elan (film). 11mm is the threshold but that's cutting it close. 12mm is a safe number but it vignettes from 10-<13 anyway so from 13-22mm it will work on an Elan, just don't go below 12mm.

YMMV; I can't be held responsible for any damages incurred :-P
