Buzzard ( UK ) .... still enjoying worms !

Well after watching him eating worms last Wednesday i managed to find a "road kill Squirrel" on Saturday, but he never showed so i left the Squirrel anyhow.When i returned today the Squirrel was still where i`d left it and he was hopping around looking for worms 20 mtrs away from the Squirrel.............j​ust no pleasing some birds !

great detailed shots aligater,the worm eating habit seems to be mainly oct/nov in scotland,maybe with no chicks to feed they can affoard to be lazy,they also start hanging out in groups ,ive seen 12 ,but still cant get close enough for a pic

A very fine series of the worm eater...he..he..An easy meal that doesn't fight back, and digests easy too! Nice healthy looking bird!

I wish the buzzards here would eat worms...it would force them closer to the ground rather then 60-80 feet up in a tree.

Excellent series mate well done I know how hard these guys can be to approach so you done very well. Suprised that he didnt have a wee nibble at the squirrel all the same! Thanks for sharing these.

Thanks for the comments folks, much appreciated.Weather permitting going again Friday to see if hes eaten the Squirrel ! if not ill take a spade and get him few worms while im there.
