I'm trying to finalize my soccer template to print my current soccer team portraits. This is what I came up with for this years template. Any comments would be appreciated. This is a U8 team (8 year olds).

Definately like this years better than last year...something about 2008 sticks out, maybe try a diff. position for that, at an angle in the top right corner, something. IDK why it sticks out strange to me.

Any reason you shot at the trees like that? I see so many photogs who do that and can't figure out why, they don't play in the woods - lack of space?

The tree was the parents idea both years. And this year with the very bright noon sun, the tree worked well to block the harsh light.

And yes, your right on the year, something about it really isn't working.

Thanks for the comments.

I think the new version is alot better. The year can do without the yellow border. It doesnt seem to have any flow from any part of your artwork or the photograph.

Try placing it on a layer underneath "casey" and drop the transparency down to de-emphasize it.

I would also look at an internal shadow on the image frame to synch in with "casey', thats a good look.

Maybe change the image border to white, thicken the line and feather it a little.

I like doing posters myself, would be good to see it have its own artwork section on here. There is one in presentation, but they seem to get lost with the website topics. I'll keep looking for any changes.

BOL!

I made it in Paint Shop Pro 8.1. Very versatile program for a great price.

That's probably going to happen now that folks are populating their galleries. Now they show up in the 'All of Gallery' and folks see material they have not seen before. :)
