Just thought I'd share some pics I took around the Betws-Y-Coed area of North Wales. Had a whole 2 hrs of blue sky over the 3 days and then rain/low cloud. Hope you like'em !

Thanks guys! really appreciate the praise :) I'd love to have had sunnier weather, because the colours would have been amazing. Maybe next year!

Wow those are breath-taking! :D Were these the shots you said you were having problems with, possibly due to the IS on your lens?

The last time we (Steffi and I) went to Wales it obliterated and drowned our tent! Serves us right for thinking it could survive the Welsh weather! :p The furthest north we got was the mountain railway up to the peak of Mount Snowdon (which was awesome, but it only went 3/4 the way to the top due to maintenance work on the summit ...) ... took flipping ages to get there from Aberystwyth where the campsite was! Breathtaking scenery around there nevertheless :)

Thanks for sharing!

I love 6 & 8 mate, very cool shots. Not sure about 7, it's hard for me to tell where the focus is but I don't think it's on the bench (maybe the back edge?).

Thanks mate. Yeah the focus is on the end of the bench, something different... didn't work huh? LOL

Thanks David, that looks like the pass of LLanberis?

The above shots weren't perfectly exposed, hence the processing... but they weren't the problem shots with the IS phenomenon. I'll post an example of that in the SE thread. Thanks again.

I like 1, 3 & 5, but 2,4, 7 & 8 are kind of blah for me. 6 could be really great if the greens were more vibrant, try contrast and saturation to make it pop.

Very nice set mate, particularly like the first one.

Only the seat one I don't like, as the focus isn't spot on.. More the back end of seat, or slightly through to the background ;)

So wish I could have joined you :(

I would guess around 2-3hrs, well worth a visit.

Thanks Warren (and everyone else!). I'll bin the bench shot;)

Shame you couldn't make it, maybe we can arange a weekend meet for next year? I so wish I had taken an ND grad, I had to try to avoid getting too much sky in the shots as a result of not having one. It's all fun!

6 is my favorite, I'd crop out the leaves on the lower left though.
