There has been some question on another thread about legality of photographing players at a high school football game without a release.
It was my understanding that it wasn't illegal. Any insight?

I had asked a couple of relatively specific question regarding how to handle a transaction on another thread and one of the replies was I needed a release. That had nothing to do with my situation. I just thought I would get a opinion on the release issue before I told him what I thought. Canon 40D; 50 f1.8, 70-200 f2.8 IS L, 580 EX II, 1.4 TC, 24-70 f2.8 L, (2) 430 EX II
