By "topic fix", do you mean someone to change the title or move it to the proper forum?

Nope, just to be able to fix it if they mess up.

I've seen it on other forums where it's possible.

So your question is; "Can it be arranged so that members can change the title of their threads?" Am I correct?

I think he is looking for the edit button for the post or the title.

Mods will sometimes change thread titles to correct obvious spelling mistakes or to make things more explicit in meaning.

However, if you need changes making to a thread title, just use the report button

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: NOT FOUND | MIME changed to 'text/html'
and if we think the request is appropriate, we'll make the change.

Basically yes, So we can edit our own topic titles, I know I'm for one who some times messes up on spelling during a thread creation and I would love to go back and fix the title if I catch it.

I believe that you can edit your titles for a short period of time but once there has been a reply to the thread you will need to get a Mod to do it for you.

Done.

Thank you very much Skip for the topic fix.

but it would still be cool to see a mod that would allow us small fry forum users to do the same thing :)

I do not believe that such permissions are part of the software although if it can be set to allow members to Edit their own thread titles then it would be up to the owner, Pekka. At this time it appears to be just the way he wants it.

For the rare times you need to edit a title, using the report button is sufficient. The chances are that the title will be changed for you within just a couple of minutes of the request going in.
