LPagan Member 147 posts Joined Aug 2004 Location: Garwood, New Jersey More info | i called canon and i asked them would it be safe to use my studio strobe on my 10D using the side port, they said its ok to use the pc cord not the hot shoe cause the hot shoe volt's are 6 volt / side port is 250. i hope there rite cause i have been using it with no problem's

Feb 26, 2005 19:33 | #6 You really need to know if a digital camera can sync with a wire directly to a strobe. While setting up my system in a friends studio, I blew a $18,000.00 PhaseOne digital back even after the Phaseone website said it was OK to wire sync it to a Norman P2000 studio strobe which cost $4000.00 to repair.
