One of the girls vball teams suffered a hard loss yesterday at the State tournament.

I think the faces say it all. It made me sad for the girls :(

It was captured candidly, sorry for the tilt. I was going to fix the vertical, but that would've cut off some of the faces.

Captured using the 40D, 200 2.8L at f2.8, 1/320 at ISO1600. My computer setup is not calibrated, so hopefully it looks OK...

Nicely done. We have to shoot these types of images as well as the jub shots as that's part of the job.

Very nice, but sad as well. I have seen that emotion and it's hard to watch.

Great shot. No need to fix the tilt - it's perfect just the way it is!

Thanks everyone - girl #5 kept it together all the way until the last team huddle. Once it broke the tears burst...

actually I was focused on another game and I saw this one breaking up on the other court so I kinda leaned my monopod over some spectators to get this shot. If anybody has doubts about the 200 2.8's sharpness :)

Your shot above inspired me to start a new thread: "Show Me Your Best Faces." To me, great sports photos are about the expressions and the one above is a doozy. Please check it out and if you have more shots like this one, add them on.
