By the way, if anyone is thinking of going to Hawaii and thinks (after booking everything on Orbitz or priceline) that it will just be this cost plus food/gas...just know it's one of the most expensive places we've ever been and that it cost us again what we paid for lodging/rental car and airfair, just to be there.

Yikes!

Tiff (with two FF's), you'll be happy to know that I took your advice and wore THEE swimsuit for some of the trip w/o inhibition! (no photos though...:lol:)

Good for you!

I'd have to say that my vacation to Puerto Rico was by far the best (photographically) one I've taken so far. It was relatively inexpensive as a group vacation.
But the flight is torture. Like you've been buried alive.

I'm taking some kids to Costa Rica in 2010. I'm looking forward to it.

Permagrin wrote in post #6687116 (external link)
Did I tell you that I saw so many people my age or close to it, with gray hair (and it looked pretty) that I'm going to cut my hair short (in order to let the gray grow out...mine is silver/white and I believe I'm entirely gray...have been for about 10 years) on Thurs?

My mom did that. It drove her crazy while it was growing out but she looks so pretty now.

Bumping this as a reminder.
All you new-ish people... if you must chat, you must play. ;)

If'n you don't want to play... well, um, you can't chat. :p So there.

I played just today.

Night all I am now off to bed, I was hoping that the parrot Avis would all disappear tonight so I could bring out this timeless gem :lol:

It's not pining, it's passed on. This parrot is no more. It has ceased to be. It's expired and gone to meet its maker. This is a late parrot. It's a stiff. Bereft of life, it rests in peace. If you hadn't nailed it to the perch, it would be pushing up the daisies. It's rung down the curtain and joined the choir invisible. This is an ex-parrot.

Unfortunately, they are all still alive.....
