If you like mysteries, look for authors Kathy Reichs and Dana Stabenow. Kathy Reichs is the author of the books that the TV series "Bones" is based upon and Data Stabenow writes mysteries about a female private investigator in Alaska who is Iniut...

I've read alot of Kathy Reichs. Really really enjoy her books & the show.

I love watching Bones!!! I started watching the show on my last month of being pregnant and have gone through all the seasons already. It's currently my favorite show (closely followed by House) AND I love reading and have been looking for a new mystery series so I've been wondering about Kathy Reichs. Now that I've heard some opinions I guess I'm going to have to get them!! *thrills x 2!*

We went to Door County today and saw a couple of lighthouses, but it was so so so cold (literally little lakes froze between setting out this morning and coming back) we spent most of the time in the car! I love drive by photography!!

Wisconsin?

Paula so how far from Seattle at route 5??

I believe Route 5 is Seattle - Portland, which is about 2 1/2- 3 hrs. Then from Portland to Pendleton, OR is 31/2, total 6 hrs. There is a shorter route from me to Seattle which takes 4 1/2 hrs. However, I wouldn't mind meeting in Portland or somewhere close to there. I do not like the drive to Seattle from Pendleton. That all said, it depends too on what day you are wanting to meet up. I would so love to see the ocean, but I just can't do it this time around. (it would cost to much) But, if you all (Terri, Lisa and you) are planning something close to Portland I may be able to pull that off, as I would only have to probibly get a motel 1 night rather than 2.:)

Edit: Please do not alter any plans to meet at the coast though just for me. If I can't see ya all this time, I'll just have to wait until June!:D

Yeppers, those are about the only two shows I really like (other than Wheel and Jeopardy)

It's very very temporary- will be gone before this time next year :D but with some research we are finding a few neat places to photograph. Plus there are some really neat buildings. I photographed a gorgeous church today.

Where you staying? My parents took us to a condo on Green Lake a couple years ago, it was very lovely.

I so cannot add fractions that I bought a special calculator to do it for me when I worked at Home Depot.

I use a construction calculator for this purpose too. The funny thing about imperial is that for construction of roads and such, they used to metricize feet, using 1/10th's of a foot instead of inches so unit could easily add together. Lengths would be something like 2,354.156 feet, and all the survey chains would be in these increments. Kind of a wannabe metric system. :D
