Is this because of the black background?
I have not submitted yet, so will think hard about that.

I submitted this one for the first book:

IMAGE: http://www.ldphotography.net/eeTravel/images/medium/10D_Valley_of_Fire_136.jpg

I spent hours cleaning it up, getting rid of the noise and making sure the star trails were perfectly visible. It made into the book! And looked like CRAP in print...

I just finished putting a Christmas tree up at work. It is white with blue balls.

don't say it I know what you are thinking.

I'll say it anyway... YOU'RE TOO FREAKIN' EARLY!!!

Here is one of the 'formal' shots from the 50th Anniversary shoot. You know, the one where my lights were set up wrong.

Did I recover it ok? Or does it still need work?

One more to share: (then I'll leave you alone and get back to the grindstone)

Sorry, Kit. These just don't work for me. The background makes the whole image(s) look like it was shot at 3200 ISO and pushed to 6400. And that half crucified Jesus hanging over everyone's head is kinda freaky. Lose the background and either lose the crucifix or get it all in the frame. Just my opinion...

Oh, and as for Grisham's books, the best one (by far) is Painted House! He's written a few ok books and two or three I'd never touch again, but Painted House is definitely a must read!

Now, back to catching up. I'm only about 150 posts behind...

I thought it looked pretty cool. :D

I took my chance and submitted the Jasper one. If by chance it makes it, we will just have to see how it turns out.

Hey, I could use a little help. I have one more pic I want to submit for the book but I have no clue where I should put it.

The picture is of my brother-in-law on the 4th of july just after he finally received his citizenship and is watching the fireworks for the first time as a citizen. I was thinking either:
a. family.
b. people
c. other?
d. don't bother, it sucks.

thoughts?

Thanks for your honesty, Lonnie.
Unfortunately, the location of the formals and the church decor were two things that were totally out of my hands. ?! There was no way to get the entire crucifix in the shots either, I tried.

So many of the star trails I labored over to keep in the photo just didn't show in the final printed image. I was so disappointed...

Yeah, I really am my own worst critic.
