You did a better job with the flash. Almost all of his have harsh shadows from shooting straight on. Guess you're the better photographer.:D

(((Becky))) Thanks :)

she forgot to mention that your WB is correct and his is too pink.
(but maybe she didn't want to make him feel too badly at being in your shadow) ;)

Or, that WB isn't one of the things I tune into, probably due to the theatre shooting I do, where I don't want correct WB...but more than likely cause I'm a WB dope.;):D

Every year we learn new things about the book...folks that have concerns, questions or are dissatisfied with it need to make themselves heard. Send a PM to Jamie, Mark, Permie, Cat or anyone else you know on the book staff...we will try to address your concerns. The last thing that anyone on the book staff wants is to have unhappy customers.

Hey, Permie... I just realized the other day that Kitteh is going to be one year old next month. How is this possible? She's still just a baby!

Life is good. Curt and CJ both have new jobs. Curt's is an elected position and was voted in after being appointed to the job in July. CJ starts a new job with Western Illinois University Radio in January. My company is struggling like many others, but; I try not to worry about things I have no control over.

Awesome about the new jobs, and you are right about not worrying. No need to worry before its time. :)

You guys look GREAT!

I never thought about not correcting the WB in theatre shots. Is that common practice? (I've never done anything like that.)

It is for us, we do a bit of correction and I always shoot with tungsten WB selected. We want the shots to look like what the audience would have seen. If we corrected the WB all the lighting effects would be lost.

Curt gives a great example on our web page. Go to the Value of Image Editing (external link) page. You have to click on the underlined words to get into the pages.
