Pet Cemetary was not one of my faves. The Stand remains my absolute favorite work of his. I have read it twice and loved the tv adaptation. I could not believe how well they followed the book! Even the music they chose was dead on.

I love the stand. It's one of my fav King books.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Dean writes a good book but I haven't read one of his in a while.

Morning all.

Which Dean? Dean Koontz? I got a Koontz jones right now. I actually like his writing better than Kinds. He develops the characters much better and has the ability to get you to really like the main character in the first few pages. Love the Odd Thomas series. Right now I'm reading "The good guy" it's a pretty good story as well.

Morning Eric.

Did you King readers ever notice all the connections in his books? For example there's a part in both Gerald's Game and Dolored Claiborne where the main characters see each other. There's other ones too.

I'm thinking Koontz. I haven't read the good guy yet but most of his books are excellent. They've changed over the years though and I almost prefer his earlier stuff better. But, I still enjoy his books immensely. Another author I like is John Saul. Some of his stuff is great. Manhattan Hunt Club was excellent.

You must be referring to my golf game. :D

That would be my golf game too:lol:
By the way, my wife is a big fan of Jarome Iginla, so we watch Flame games when we get a chance. She always wants to see a Canadian team win the Cup. I like to follow the teams featuring ex Portland Winter Hawk players, and I want to see a Canadian team not win the Cup, so when playoff time rolls around, we sit on opposite sides of the living room watching the games.:D

Yeah, sorry, Dean Koontz.

Did you try pulling the battery out of your camera for awhile. That sometimes cures mysterious illnesses.

Isn't it amazing the amount of books the horror writers are able to pump out. King has written something like 200 books. Didn't Hemmingway write 5 books and a few short stories.

They were too busy putting metaphors and symbolism into their work. Horror writers just put it all out there. :D

Didn't have to. It hasn't repeated itself.

How about this.

Don't you hate it when your out in space and forget to tie down your tools. You turn around for just a second to change the radio station and when you look back your tools are gone. All you can do is sit there and watch them float away and you think if I was just a few pounds heaver I would have enough gravitational pull keep them close by.
