Your story really hit home as my grandmother had a very similar thing happen. She was visiting my aunt and at night, unfamiliar with the house, she took a wrong turn and fell down the basement steps. She also broke both wrists and her collar bone and hit her head hard enough to crack her skull. Though her recuperation was difficult and PT hard, she did recuperate and she lived for yet many happy years. I hope you to have a happy end to your story. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

He is undergoing a very rigorous chemo course and has 5 more months to go, but he's had 3 sets of treatments now and although he's lost his hair he is in generally good spirits and tolerating the treatments ok. They give him IV anti nausea meds for the 3 days he gets his chemo and that really helps. He has had to have 2 blood transfusions already since the treatments wipe out his immunity and he has to have blood counts over a certain level to have his next set of treatments. So remember that donating blood is a good thing. Aww...that is so sad but at least he seems to be doing better. cfpackerfan wrote in post #6747049 Well, until Paula quoted them, I didn't even see Tiff's and Jim's posts. ![]() Sorry. It is becoming a very nice Sunday evening thing ![]() Jaiydann speaks so well, I am just amazed at her vocabulary (besides the signing, she is really adding words there, too!) Toddler language is so much fun, tonight she walked up to me with her arms upraised in the universal 'pick me up' position and said 'Mima (pronounced meemaw), hodejoo (hold you)?' She has never asked to be held, it is always 'I hold you (said in the form of a question) or 'Jaiydann hold you?'. So cute. She is 4 and severely autistic with cerebral palsy, and legally blind. her 3 year old brother joined class too, so he could kind of 'take care' of her. They are the sweetest, most loving unbelievably wonderful kids i have ever met. She has an AMAZING smile, and just loved everything we did. She was so happy. A[URL]www... neil_r wrote in post #6748297 I have said it before on here the day I retire I get a Springer and a Vizsla. Great pics! I agree they need to be docked....those tails wag non-stop. I did help my stepdad once dock the puppies tails when we were breeding. They even wagged once they were off. Creepy. puddlepirate44 wrote in post #6748470 Those are great shots, Neil. And, yeah, that's how I remember Springers. Puppies forever. Yeah, springers are great. We had one when we lived on the river growing up and he was a hoot. We'd throw rocks in for him and he would actually dive down and come up with something in his mouth-either a rock of some sort or a river clam. Then, he'd start doing it on his own just for fun. We used some of his treasures on the outside of the chimney when we remodeled. He died too early though....got too hot in the summer one day and his blood stopped coagulating so he basically bled out internally. I felt terrible because I was there when he died. He was in the kennel on a hot day and I went to check on him, let him out to play in the river, and put him back in. When I went back later, half his body wasn't working and I had to call my mom to come figure out what was wrong with him. He had a huge fever and had to have ice baths. He spent the next day in the basement to try and keep him cool and just slipped away. It was aweful. I was home with my bro. We both started bawling. Mgdh wrote in post #6748672 G'mae all. Sorry, no catch-up - been a little busy here. I'd value thoughts and prayers for my Mum at the moment (a couple of you may have seen this already elsewhere). Saturday afternoon, she fell down the stairs at home. Fortunately, my sister and BIL are living there at the moment having just returned from the States to help look after her. My sister heard the crash as she fell and was there within moments. Mum was unconscious for about 5 mins and it looked like she had struck her head on the wall at the bottom of the stairs. Ambulance to casualty, x-rays etc. She has got two broken wrists, a broken shoulder and two broken toes. That night, she was -extremely- confused, using the wrong words in sentences, sentences making no sense etc. I finally got home at 2am Sunday morning after she had been moved to a ward. Went in to see her yesterday and she -seemed- a little better - very drowsy but beginning to understand where she was. However, I rang the hospital this morning to see how she was to learn that she had fallen out of the bed during the night and was going to require further x-rays!!! I'm going to see her later today but life is a bit up in the air at the moment. So, also, NOT SQUISHED, as I'll be running around to help sort out Mum. *tucks mark and his mum into my thoughts Tiffany

I always use burger fried up and add the chili seasoning to it. A large can of tomato sauce, a can of chili beans, a can of red kidney beans, some onion, a chili pepper and salt/pepper finish it off. I usually add a can of water to the mix as well....I use the chili bean can to measure it. Tiffany

What I do is cube up some sirloin maybe about an inch square and brown it in a real hot cast iron pan. While that browning cut up onions, lots of peppers. I like a red, yellow, green bell, cubanella, a few jalapeños, a poblano, an few chilli peppers and if I’m going for real hot, a few habaneros. After the meat is browned, toss it with the veggies into a stew pot, add a couple of cans of stewed tomatoes juice and all, a couple cloves of garlic, a bunch of chili powder and some beef stock. Then let it simmer all day slowly reducing and it’s done. Not sure why, but call me JJ.
