So, another Saturday night saving money rather than going out and painting the town red, so what is there to do other than come in from a few beers in the afternoon sun and cook something delicious and take photos of it! (although I should of thought ahead and set up the camera before everything was ready to go on the hob, I've never ran up and down stairs and setup a camera and flash so fast in all my life!!!) I would appreciate any other critique, preferably harsh but critical Sorry to disappoint you, but I have nothing harsh to say about those photos. They all look good, very clear, nice colors. The depth of field, greater than in most in this thread, is a plus in my book. Many food photos have such shallow DoF that you get a detailed view of one olive but everything else on the plate is fuzzy. Maybe this is a matter of fashion, I don't know. Fuzzy is unappetizing. PRONOUN ADVISORY: OhLook is a she. | A FEW CORRECT SPELLINGS: lens, aperture, amateur, hobbyist, per se, raccoon, whoa | Comments welcome

Fujito Hatchling 1 post Joined Jun 2013 More info | I'm a sushi chef, I have a degree in marketing, and my family has owned Fuji in NJ for 34 years. I've always loved photography, but food has become my forte. A few of my pictures have been published in magazines and newspapers, but they were for write ups for our restaurant. Here are a few to share.
I'm still working on new techniques and I'd like to get a 50mm lens. Hopefully I can begin to solicit my skills to restaurants and magazines soon.
