All good. Very nice detail. But the first and third are too warm.

A healthy lunch today. Mine? no, I had a cheese burger.

Anyone have recommendations for a convenient and practical food photography set up for under $150? Something that is easy to store, but not a hassle to take out. Wife and I probably need to think about getting some props for a faux table top and background, too. I think continuous lighting would be good, because she take photos with her S100.

We will sometimes take photos of the food we just cooked for dinner. This means that we're taking photos when it's a bit darker outside - so can't rely on soft window light. We still need to work on plating and what not, but would like to have a nice set up to make it easier to take consistent photos. She just likes to post her food up on Facebook... and perhaps I can post mine on my site. This would be tying together two things I like to do - photography and cooking.

Oh yeah... forgot to mention, I don't really like light boxes because they limit what angles my wife can try to shoot from and block backgrounds we like to use. Thinking more in terms of lights, umbrellas, etc... just not sure what are cheap, but decent investments.

Don't know the exact brand, but perhaps daylight temp bulbs and umbrellas.

That would give you a nice soft, even light. I know adorama has their own brand of constant lights.
