Very appetizing and beautifully photographed. On my display the rice in the chicken rice roti is blown a bit.

It seems your parents know that good looking food is half the battle ... if it tastes as good as it looks, they will do well.

Thank you LL. And you are right. It was tough for me to photograph most of things are white color (tables, chairs ....)

Nice images, but it should not be that difficult. If the light was closer to the tomatoes, then the light fall off would give less exposure to the rice.
Better would be to shoot in RAW & extract two exposures & blend them in PS (photoshop).
Personally, I would take two differently exposed images & blend them in PS. The histogram in one of them should show no blown whites.

A deconstructed baked potato.

Nice arrangement. Did the potato ever get constructed and served?

Turkeyburger with mushrooms and artichoke hearts, up close. Second view: the same, uncovered.

tcphoto and sspellman - nice shots, good looking arrangements!

So maybe I'm a decent cook, but really stink at food photography - will have to look for some online resources.

Tonight's dinner - Gnocchi with Shrimp and Asaparagus

Looks good Clark ... I am getting hungry.

Sspellman - really like the lighting and arrangement on the first image ... they should be pleased.
