Raw cucumber slices let light through, too. You raise a useful question: how to take advantage of translucent food?

'Taking advantage'- That's a big step on the road to making a great food photograph, imo.

I wouldn't really call it food photography but here are a few shots from my cooking workshop that I conducted today. We cooked some burger buns, baguettes and some lovely burgers :)
