Nice shot.
The "District 18" in the window adds nice depth to the photo as well as the subject itself I think.

She's going over to take that keg back to her apartment, isn't she!

Wonderful shot Marie, Looks like as soon as she spotted that beer keg she's picked up the pace.

I thought so too, about the 'district 18'
I wondered what it meant exactly..on the window
the area is not exactly N.Y
lol

many thanks

I wondered about the foot when I saw the picture later .as it seems to be in a special and bigger shoe (or slipper)
maybe the lady was wearing something loose fitting for comfort having been slightly injured lately

thanks a lot Pete

I was taking shots of some of them when the little old lady passed by

she reminded me of the song by Hoagy Carmichael 'little old lady passing by, catching everyone's eye...'

thanks Frank, nice that
your parents and grandparents lived long lives, theres a good chance you will too,
whether you want to or not

I like Hoagy singing the tune about the 'little old lady'
the words of the song would suit a lot of grandmothers
(at that time)

"Little old lady passing by
Catching everyone's eye
You have such a charming manner
Sweet and shy

Little old bonnet set in place
And a Smile on your face
You're a perfect picture in your
Lavander and lace

Little bit of business here
Little bit of business there
Bet that you've been window shopping
All around the square

Little old lady, time for tea
Here's a kiss, two or three
You're just like that little old lady
I hold dear to me "

1937. written by Hoagy Carmichael and Stanley Adams for a Broadway musical titled "The Show Is On".
