Pondering - deep meaning
Pretty much right out of camera, just a curves adjust to bring out sky contrast. Comments?

Yep, very Japanese. Sorry, my fingers got ahead of my brain. It's there now.

Is that a reflection? I'm confused haha. If so, it looks very clean!

It is confusing, the eye doesn't know how to interpret the data.

Some folks love that kind of thing, but I can't say I am one of them.

The shot is good, technically speaking, but with the lack of a central focus, the tilted horizon and the work it takes to decipher exactly what it is, it just doesn't work for me.

:(

It looks like a composite of two photos with one turned upside down with the water deleted and letting the sky show through. It doesn't work for me though.

I tried and tried, but could not figure out what I was looking at. I don't think it's working. Sorry :/.

It is not a composite. It is an inverted reflection. The shot was of a deep very calm pond with some lily pads and a smooth reflection of the sky. I liked the effect upside down - gives the gray-cells a workout. Nice analysis Flo!

I find it disorienting as well, but I'm oddly captivated by it...
