OK, I got my 30D yesterday and snapped this off with the 50mm. Just looking for people's advice on what to do differently. Things I am thinking

Flourescent light
Narrower apperature
Less or more reflection?
Proper WB (couldn't set custom properly last night)

Anything else?? Also, how do you like the idea of the shot, should I reposition myself or the subject a bit?

Camera gear stolen, currently shopping new stuff!

If you shot this in RAW (which you should be doing) you can fix the WB in photoshop. I always leave my WB on auto, and mess with it in photoshop in PP. It's so much easier.

Also, lose the watermark. It just detracts from the photo.

Cool, I'll give it a shot...just don't want anyone stealing my pix, thats why I put the stamp on pretty much all of the ones I post that I like, not like they can't cut it out, but just my thing.

If you're going to experiment with the WB, what do you gain from changing the light source (fl)? If your light source is inc, setting your WB to inc will get you pretty close. And as said previously, shooting in RAW will allow you to touch it up later.

The DOF and reflection look good. I might like to see it with the "RB" out of focus or cloned out.

I like it as it is..Nice shot. If you play with the WB you will get the controller closer to its real color, but honestly I do not think it matters with this shot..It looks like an ad shot.

I don't like the composition. What do you gain by cutting off the right side?
