Number 4 is your winner, maybe just a little tighter crop on the head room. The black and white looks a little too high key. A conversion with a little more contrast, in my opinion, would have worked better. Number one is also good. Five is cute, but I would clone out the little spot on the forehead.

Good job. Take my advice with a grain of salt since I'm a beginner at portrait work myself.

Nice shots! I'm not sure if it's just me, but all except #1 seem a bit soft.

On a side note: I went to your site and realized that your studio is only located 7 minutes away from me.

They are cute. I wonder if they look soft due to the resize? You can do a quick sharpen for web and that helps some. :)

It looks like you dodged the eyes... ?? If so, I would change the tool and set it to just highlights... so you don't loose the color in the eyes. The browns of his eyes look like they have been lightened...? I could be wrong.

I might bring the light source in a little closer... but that's just because I like larger catchlights...

They seem to have a lot of yellow cast to them... I'm not good with adjusting color, and maybe it's my monitor... But you can brighten up the midtones on the color versions a little bit..

Cute little guy though... you are lucky to have a happy and willing model!! :) Keep on shooting!

I did dodge the highlights in the eyes only, they have very dark brown eyes so its hard to get that great color to come out. If you look at the last picture the eyes have not been dodged...will work on it though!

And they were horrible, worst session I have ever done. Leave it to my kids to be the worst I have had to deal with.

I appreciate the comments. I get better when people take the time to point out these things. Thanks!
