This gecko is nocturnal and I don't know how to get a good shot because my camera can't find it in the dark. I shone a torch on the gecko so the camera could autofocus. Is it better to set a distance and aperture and just shoot blind?

I'm sure these were the ones that got indoors and ran up the wall? Why not leave the door open, it may walk in David: Canon EOS 400D - Canon EF70-300mm f/4-55.6 IS USM -Sigma 17-70 F2.8-4.5 DC Macro - Sigma 50-500 'Bigma' - Speedlite 580EX 11 - Better Beamer

I only found it because the dogs made an unexpected diversion to avoid something. The only geckos I've seen haven't hung around once they've realized they'd been spotted. How DO people take shots in the darK? Sue
